Inspiron 15 + Netgear wireless router = no connection?

I purchased a new Dell Inspiron 15 Notebook. I received it and tried to install a netgear wireless router that I also purchased from Dell. The laptop would not connect to the router. I was told that technician would come to install a new motherboard that has been ordered. I am not very happy to have a new laptop that has never been used to have to be repaired instead of being replaced. I have been a customer of Dell since 1999 and I'm not very happy about this situation.

wmcclurg,

I really doubt that your motherboard is defective. This sounds more like a wifi driver or operating system networking issue. My advice is to repost your issue on the Laptop General Hardware board so we can assist you in troubleshooting.
