Invalid service tag

I picked up an xps 13 (9360) from a Canadian dealer on ebay. I went to dell's site to register it since it shows no owner. I'm getting the error tag is invalid on bot the service tag and express service code. I've waited a couple of days as suggested on dell's site. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

You need to know what country in which it was sold If it was sold outside of US it might not show up in Dell's US database. Try the Canadian site. Canadian seller on Ebay is not a Dell dealer. Remember Ebay is a marketplace and auction site, not Dell or an authorized reseller. It's buyer beware. The computer could be an overstock item, used, reconditioned or anything else.
