Next business YEAR Support on alienware?
Fact:
- New alienware Auroa R4 ALX system delivered as off july 31st 2012.
- System had problems from day one.
- Technical support was approached on or about 9/22/2012 and support promised for the next business day. Support request number , Service call number
After a week no parts had been shipped and no contact made with customer. - When part was finally shipped the tech attempted to contact an old telephone number, even though an updated number was given during support call. No email contact was ever attempted.
- Support was contacted again on or before 11/29/2012 for the same problem. Service call number , Support call number
- Support was promised for the next business day, super special upper top secret never given to anyone ever before support because off the first support failure.
- As off the end of the day on 5 Dec 2012, no call information had been updated, no contact attempted with customer, and the same problem still exists.
Conclusion:
- Dell doesn't care about customer satisfaction.
- Dell doesn't keep customer informed
- Dell appears to be disorganized.
- Dell thinks I'm an Idiot.
- Dell is losing customers, for one me, because if their next business day warranty on their top of the line system is so valueless that two months after a problem is reported they haven't even emailed the customer, or called the telephone number provided much less fixed the problem, I for one will never buy a Dell again and I've been buying them for over 20 years since they were a little upstart company in Austin TX, with US tech support.

Second support call for my system. Dell dropped the ball on the first call taking two weeks to ship the part and then calling the wrong phone number. So this is an extension off a Suppoet call originally placed in OCTOBER! When can I expect help????

Another week has gone by and still no support on my system. The tech hasn't even been sent a part yet.

Tech showed up, THREE WEEKS after the call was opened----with a broken part. So a probelm that started before 9/18/2012 is still unresolved and I have to wait for a new part to be sent to the tech. For some reason THE CUSTOMER has to call support to request a replacement when DELL ships a BROKEN PART to the TECHNICIAN. That involved about 45 minutes on the phone, a bogus BIOS update, which reset my system date and broke my windoes home server client until I figured it out, the DELL support person WAS CLUELESS as to why purging BIOS by taking away power would cause software to fail.
