Orders Declined

Have tried thrice to order new Alienware 13. For  Christmas (6 weeks out, a lifetime in computers, no problems, right?) First, order was "delayed" then email pops up from J---V-J---- requesting to call for "verification" on credit card (which is solid and US, actually Texas based). Sadly, number he gave is not listed under Dell's site (which is a hallmark of phishing emails themselves quite ironically). Found main Dell number, got to his extension, left voice mail, no response. Then email saying it is cancelled. Tried Facebook and email support. After a few days. they say to call "verification." Totally unprofessional Indian male answered. Upon giving customer number, says order was cancelled, call credit card issuer and hung up. Hung up. I've tried twice to order for son's Christmas using MC and Amex.  Millions of consumers getting charges declined at Christmas time is the flip side of "tightening" credit card transactions it seems to be.  But the main issue is, still, that anyone with a problem has to call a rude nasty person in India for customer service. That's abuse, not customer service. And it takes 7 hours to get through.

Still waiting. Anyone at Dell there? Anywhere in the US to call? Called and emailed JVJ and got an out of office message (saying he would be back in- yesterday) But, he still has out of office setting.

Now have received a courteous and professional call from, apparently, Indian call center and US reps, too.  I believe that most reps would do a great job if they had more power and information sharing. But thanks CM and associates.
