XPS 9530 Service Tag not recognised or fake?

 
Hello, I just purchased an XPS 9530 laptop from a 3rd party seller and he sent me a picture of the service tag/express code when i asked for it. The battery needed to be changed and i wanted to double check for part number. When I entered my service tag number or the express code in Dell Website neither showed as not being recognised. 
Could it be from another country? Could even be fake?
I can attached picture received in private message if asked.
Need help, thank you.

Thank you for your message. Yes, this could be a refurbished used system from a different country. There are chances that these are systems returned to Dell, lost in transit or systems that are written off & you do not get support on any of these systems. For the ownership transfer to complete, you will need to have the original registered owners name. I can have this checked at my end. For my reference, please click on the message tab next to your avatar– click “New Message” & search for my Dell username (Sreejith R) & send a private message with the service tag, registered name & email address.
