webcam issues

Hello,my name is karley sparks and my parents recently bought me a dell  the 349 dollar one when it was on sale and something happened a couple weeks ago and now when I try to take videos or pictures with my webcam it says oops something went wrong when trying to take a picture can you help me please??                                                                                                                                                                         sincerely, karley sparks!!

Hi Karley,

Please share the system model and operating system installed on it.

Also, check if the if the Webcam is detected in Device Manager. Here are the steps:

  • Press the key combination of 'Windows Logo' key and 'R' key. A 'Run' dialog box will appear.
  • Type in 'devmgmt.msc' and click on 'OK'.
  • Device Manager dialog box will appear.
  • Click on the sign next to 'Imaging Devices' to expand it.
  • Check if the Webcam is listed there or not.

Try using the Webcam with other applications like Skype, Messenger, etc.

Please share the findings.
