AX100 Flare OS download
We have an Dell AX100 with very very 0ld Flare OS. Tryng to register to download software at www.emc.com/dell-ax100support site. It will not take my SN# which is APM00043202837. I confirmed this SN# With the Storage System Serial Number in Navisphere express. Any Ideas. Thanks.

I called support and they downloaded 'AX100_Series-Bundle-02.19.100.5.048.zip' for me. We are using currently using flare 2.08.100.5.011. I forgot to ask the tech if there was any other software I needed to update like Navishere or powerpath. Any Idea?
Thanks Much.

Connected to a single windows 2000 SP4 server at the moment. The ax100 is populated with 12 250GB drives and is full (hoping not to blow anything, restoring would not be fun.)

- AX100
- Windows 2000 SP4
- QLA200
The latest versions on the EMC support matrix are:
- Qlogic driver 9.1.4.10
- QLA200 bios 1.23
- Powerpath 4.5.2 or 5.1
If upgrading from a Powerpath version below 4.6 to 4.6 or higher, safest is to first back up your license key if one is installed (license tool via the start menu, or from a dos prompt you can do a "powermt check_registration"), then uninstall Powerpath, reboot and install the new Powerpath. During the install of Powerpath 4.4 and higher it asks if you're installing this on a server that will only connect to an AX-series system. If you say yes, it will not ask/need a license. If you later decide to connect this server to a CX-system (in combination with connecting to the AX or only to the CX), you may need to uninstall Powerpath and reinstall again to put in a license.
The version numbers can be gotten from the EMC support matrices here.

If you ever need to add a license key to PowerPath, simpliy go to Start -> Programs -> EMC -> PowerPath Licensing Tool. You can add or remove a license key with this tool. It is also a easy way to copy and paste the license key into an email, notepad or Word for future reference.
