EMC CX300 Navisphere

Hi,

I have a CX300 storage unit. I can access the unit using the serial cable. Loged in to the system suing  192.168.1.1/setup. Allocated ipaddresses to the prcoess units. They are 192.168.10.10 and 192.168.10.11. If I try to login to the system using 192.168.10.10 or 192.168.10.10/setup it prompts for user name password which I am not sure. Is there any default user name and password I have to use or if not how can I rest the details. There is no option under 192.168.1.1/setup screen for creating user name and password. Appriciate for any help.

Thank you,

Prasanna

When you logged in with the serial cable, to the setup page, there should be an option to destroy security.  You can select that, and it will clear the security domain and username/password.  When you log in to /startup, it should ask if you want to add security.

HI,

Thank you for the reply Durindil.

I tried Destroy security and domain information under http://192.168.1.1/setup site. It end up with error with the following message.
"Could not reset the directory internal error occurred."

Thank you,

Prasanna

Normally you'd:
- serial into 1 SP
- destroy security
- restart management server
- serial into the other SP
- destroy security
- restart management server
- wait a minute or 2 for the management server to finish restarting on this 2nd SP
- connect to Navi on either SP
- on login it should tell you security isn't enabled and allow you to create the first username and password combo

In your case with the error you're getting, you'll want to call Dell support at this point.

There are some debug options to clear those security records.
