Powervault ML600 LTO Setup
I am setting up ML6000 LTO library, two drives, two partitions. There are 6 I/E slots, how do I assign them to both partitions?

I am setting up ML6000 LTO library, two drives, two partitions. There are 6 I/E slots, how do I assign them to both partitions?

Hello avilt,
Your I/E slots are available to both your partitions & the system partition. Once new media is inserted into the I/E station & the I/E door is closed then you have the option of assigning the media from the front panel to either one of your partitions or the system partition. Now you can disable Manual Cartridge Assigment on the ML6000 so that you can insert the new media into the I/E station and then Import the tapes to the partition that you want.
