cx300 standby power failure

Our cx300 had an amber light, so we checked the navisphere software and its reporting a failure with the second standby power supply.  Any ideas for first steps to checking this out/repairing this?

Thanks

It generally means you need to replace the SPS.

You can disconnect everything from it and then just plug it into a different powersource and power it on to see if the amber lights persist. If they do, it's definitely time to replace it.

Check the LEDs on the SPS. It should have 4 of them. Compare them to the other SPS to get an idea of what they should look like.

Indeed, the bottom two of the four led's are amber on the malfunctioning one. Does that mean anything in particular?
