DDOS 5.4 SNMP MiB file OID
We have begun testing SNMP traps in a customer's lab. The only traps we have received do not report the recognized OID number “19746” from the DDOS MiB file, and instead send traps with OID string “8072”. Is anyone here familiar with this bahaviour?

Did you tested MIB file for DD OS 5.4.2.1 Systems? https://download.emc.com/downloads/DL53708_MIB_file_for_DD_OS_5.4.2.1_Systems.mib

No, we are using 5.4.0.8 in this customer's environment.
It turns out that "1.3.6.1.4.1.8072.3.2.10" is a generic OID reserved for the Linux operating system. The DDOS kernel probably sent it when it could not find LinkLoss in the 5.4.0.8 MiB.
It also turns out that the 5.4.0.8 MiB is not up to date with the DDOS 5.4 MIB Quick Reference Manual. The alert "linkLoss", OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.19746.2.0.5056, is not in the 5.4.0.8 MiB.
