Verify the network connection
Hey All................
I'm new to DD....
I would like to verify the connection/NIC which the backups are going to the Data Domain...
I want to make sure the backups are going to the proper nic(s)
How would I find out?
I'm using a 3 Node Avamar as a front end to a DD7200
Thanks...

I would recommend to create a Boost Interface Group on the Data Domain, then the backup/restore traffice is sent over these interfaces.
In the DD GUI you can see the traffic in the realtime charts.

he is referring to ifgroups, take a look at data domain admin guide, the one below is good as well.

system show stats view net interval 5
That will give you a very useful view of all interfaces - real time.
ddboost ifgroup show config all
That will show you your ifgroup members.
A simple 'ifconfig' will give you a broad view of the TX/RX data that has been sent over the individual NIC's - for me, I find this very telling on what interface is generally doing what, IN/OUT and how well balanced they are - especially useful if you're using LACP and nobody setup Vpc on the switches!
