Wrong trust and certificate after hostname change
Hi all
I do have issues with certificates and trust like I mentioned in another thread but here is a different one. I did need to change hostname of two systems because the customer deliver wrong information at the beginning. I did that by GUI within Hardware-Ethernet......
old name = EMCDD01.CUSTOMER.LOCAL
new name = DD040B01.CUSTOMER.LOKAL
After changing the hostnames and a reboot it tells me in the CLI the following
root@DD040B01# hostname
The Hostname is: DD040B01.CUSTOMER.LOKAL
root@DD040B01# adminaccess trust show
Subject Type Valid From Valid Until Fingerprint
------------------ ---------- ------------------------ ------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------
EMCDD01.CUSTOMER.LOCAL trusted-ca Sun Mar 1 15:34:41 2015 Wed Feb 21 15:34:41 2046 E2:2F:B0:CB:62:68:4B:51:9D:DE:94:6D:71:C9:30:64:AC:28:2D:41
------------------ ---------- ------------------------ ------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------
root@DD040B01# adminaccess certificate show
Subject Type Application Valid From Valid Until Fingerprint

the same for the other system. What is the supported way to change hostname?
I am pretty much sure that this will lead to certificate issues anyway even more then I have. I have to be honest I am a little bit stressed about all this atm.

Yes I don't think you can setup replication now.
Are the 2 system under support?

Hi Duker,
The problem lies in the way DD generates the certificate. The actual hostname is in the initial certificate. Because you cannot remove this certificate from the DD GUI you have to do this from the Linux kernel.
Please op een SR and support will help you with this task.

Daniel
