Good morning all.
Attempting a new install on a Windows 2012 R2 server. While installing the Data Store (to a separate server) I get a Fatal Application Error:

"Invocation of this Java Application has caused an
InvocationTargetException. This application will now exit (LAX)"

Hi. This is a known issue with DPA versions prior to DPA 6.2.0 and is caused by a limitation with the installer technology used (this version of the installer does not recognize Windows 2012 R2).
Good news is that there is an easy workaround -- just change the install file properties to Windows 7 Compatibility mode before running the install.
[Note that this is documented in the 6.1.2 release notes under 'Known Problems and Limitations', although it can be difficult to find specific errors when looking through that document].

Thanks Gareth. I'll try that. Totally missed that in the document.

Any hint when 6.2 will reach GA status?

DPA 6.2.0 is currently available as part of the Directed Availability program. The code is full GA quality and is supported the same as a GA release - you just need to register in order to get access to the download. Also note that DPA 6.2.0 now includes a built-in 60 day license, so even if you just want to download to check out the new features you can do so.
