DPA report for Data Domain
Is there any standard report in DPA, which provides the Deduplication/compression ratio for each Tape volume. I mean i am looking for info (g_comp and l_comp) for each tape volume from DPA.

Hi Neeraj,
DPA reports the local and global compression ratios however it only does this at a Data Domain level and not at the volume level. This report is called "Data Domain Daily Compression Statistics".

Thanks for the prompt reply.
It would be nice, if we can get by each volume. This helps in analysing the deduplication/compression for the content saved on each volume. Also can we have any similar report for "SYSTEM SHOW PERFORMANCE".

Hi Neeraj,
If this is something which would be of benefit then I would recommend raising an enhancement request via Powerlink so that it can be considered for future releases.
The DPA 5.8 Data Collection Reference Guide (which can be found on Powerlink) details which data DPA gathers and which commands it uses. You should be able to se this document to see if DPA gathers what you require.
