Dell Data Protection and KB3081448

Hi,

I have Dell e7440 and Windows 10. After upgrading to build 10586 (Threshold 2) my fingerprint reader stopped working. I had this before and reinstalling DDP seems to fix the issue. Not this time.

When I try to install DDP 1.7.0.1105 error appears:

The required Microsoft KB3081448 or equivalent is missing. This is required for software and drivers to work correctly. Please install and retry. Aborting install.

Nice. So I tried uninstalling DDP from my laptop. Same error occurs. Right now I cannot use my password manager in DDP and cannot uninstall software.

Any idea how to fix this problem? Seems that Dell is not ready for Windows 10, even if they say something different on their site.

Please reach out to Dell support on this.  I have been interfacing with them and they are just starting to figure this one out, but more customers reporting it may help.  It looks like they put in a check for a compatible OS, but Windows 10 1511 supersedes that KB and the DDP installer does not account for it.
