How do I uninstall DDP Encryption?
I'm trying to upgrade a Latitude E5540 from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The upgrade fails with a message telling me that I have to uninstall Dell Data Protection Encryption. But encryption has never been enabled on this machine.
When I try to uninstall DDPE, I get taken to a window to set up data encryption, which is most definitely what I do not want to do.
This is a fully patched Win 7 machine, the Dell software installed on this machine is:

Hello Harry,
On page 47 of the below guide it talks to the uninstall process. The guide is for our latest version of 8.10 but should still be valid for the version 8.3 you have listed.

You do need to have the original installs for some of the removal process. If you don't have one saved locally you can download our software including older versions at the below link. Be sure to use the "Other Versions" link to download the version you have running.

If you get hung up on any of the process feel free to leverage our dedicated support queue at 877.459.7304 Ext. 4310039.
Thanks
