Least permissions for OME service account
Good day!
We'd like to remove the sysadmin role from the service account used to install OME and create the database on SQL Server 2008. The installation went fine, but now we should grant least privileges. What permissions should I tell my DB dudes to grant the Dell OME service account?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Rob,
Thanks for the reply. No, I already found that thread and it's not clear whether those are least permissions or not. Sure, it mentions some permissions surrounding SQL Server databases, but I'm specifically talking about removing sysadmin permissions and granting or leaving least permissions. This thread doesn't say whether or not those are least. Can we just assume that removing the sysadmin role and leaving db_owner and public is the correct way to grant least privilege?
Thanks again!
Mike

Hi Mike,
You will need DB_Owner privileges for OME. If you have already reduced it from sysadmin, you should keep it that way.
