Severity:Normal, Message:LinkUp Port or number: 17

I am constantly getting LinkDown warning message from one Windows 2012 R2 server.

There's nothing in the server's event logs indicating a problem with NIC.

Any idea how to stop this message?

My bad, I forgot to give the messages I'm getting.  Here they are,

Warning: LinkDown Port or number: 17

Normal: LinkUp Port or number: 17

Hi, thanks for the query.

Please see if following thread is helpful in identifying the problematic NIC:

Thanks for your response.  I don't need to identify, as only using one NIC.

I looking for assistants to stop or suppress these warnings that are filling up my mailbox.

There's an application running on the server that open a port to FTP data and than closes the port many times during the day.  Each time the application open an closes the port to FTP data OpenManage send the warning messages for Link up & than Link down after each FTP.

I'm looking for a way to suppress or stop message for this activity only.

Again, thanks for your response.

You can suppress the alerts using the right-click menu "Ignore" item. There are three actions under it:

1. Ignore this alert from this device.

2. Ignore this alert from all devices.

3. Ignore all alerts from this device.

You can chose one option as per your requirement.
