2 Port USB VGA KVM Switch

Hi,

I am shortly taking delivery of a new Area 51 PC and of course, will need to transfer a great deal of data. I have always backed up and have about 30Gb of day to day stuff on a permantly ready USB stick. 

Anyway, can someone help me by explaining how I would use a KVM switch - Dell have one at £43.00  which seems pretty reasonable - while I have only one monitor.

My old XPS is still a pretty good computer, which I will probably give to a local school after I have cleaned everything off. (I promise you, there is nothing naughty stored there...)!
