6 Monitors

Hi,

Anyone know if any of the Dell PCS can handle 6 monitors?

Thanks,

Too bad....I actually want all screens independent....

Not really a computer expert but I not get the XPS machine with 3 graphic cards?

Or maybe some software that will let me view all 6 screend independently?

IF you get a Dell XPS 730 with 2x 9800gx2 you can have 4 different monitors and 2 other monitors will be clones of the others.

Yes i guess you can do that, 3 9800gx2s but you will have to install the 3rd one yourself as it is strictly 'not suporte' although if you ask MoneyGuyBK who has a machine runnung 3 9800gx2's he will be able to give you some more information.

You can go with any 3 PCI or PCIe graphics cards which have dual video out.  Any combination of PCI and PCIe as well.  I would stick with one brand (ie all Nvidia or all ATI).  I know for sure that the Nvidia drivers can handle all the independant monitors that you could desire as long as you have the individual cards to connect them to.  Basically this is dependant on how many bus slots you have on your motherboard.

Just keep in mind that you can't run all 6 montors AND run SLI (or Crossfire to my knowledge) at the same time if that 's what you are going for, but it doesn't sound like it is so you won't have any problems.
