Admin Password Problem-Dell XPS 600

I apologize if I am posting this in the wrong forum.

I have a Dell XPS 600 and  I cannot access my Setup (F2) to make changes because the system wants an Admin Password that I never set up. I tried every possible password that I would have used and none work. How can I find my Admin Password?

Thanks!!

Bob

Have you tried removing the battery for a while, that will usually do the job.

I removed the battery overnight and it did not fix the problem. Anybody else have any suggestions? I am trying to avoid having to call Dell.

I googled my problem and found a solution.  On the motherboard inside the computer is a small pin with 3 slots (next to a small rectangle box). I slid the pin over one and restarted my computer and the computer said: "Password disabled."  When I put the pin back in it's original slot and restarted again, the password is now cleared. PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!
