An option is to buy a new Socket 775 motherboard and move it and your 530 parts into the 2400.
The 530 has the IO shield stamped into the back of the chassis, but the 2400 has a removable one.

It might work, but $32 seems expensive for such an old CPU; I got an E6300 Core 2 Duo for about that much.
Note that mATX motherboards will fit the 2400 chassis, so you're not limited to working with the stock board.

mATX motherboards are they worth it? Price wise like. I have a dell inspiron 530 that I think has a mobo problem so I am going too have to replace the mobo in that, I am using the 2400 until I get the 530 fixed up, its the quad core version. I have another thread about my 530.

sorry for the multiple posts I just am getting new things in my head I need some help with heh...
If I was to buy one of them mobos for the 2400 would it fit in the normal dell dimension 2400 tower? It has
different ports like HDMI and such.

You need a new motherboard to use a Haswell, but it would fit in the 2400.

Here's a motherboard on eBay that ships worldwide. And a CPU.
Those items have good prices and I've had good luck buying components on eBay, even used ones like my XPS 8500 motherboard.
Apart from the front audio, the 2400's front panel connectors work. If the front switch and LED cables are too short, you can buy new ones from China for a few bucks. And here's a USB extension cable.

The thing about the 2400 is I hate d look of the tower heh.... I would rather buy a new tower or use d 530.
What do u think??

No, that's a Socket 1155 and is incompatible with Haswell CPUs.
Regarding a case, I used a Cooler Master N200 with my latest build.
