Audio stutter after Windows update - XPS One 2710 - Windows 8

XPS One 2710 AIO. Windows 8. After the latest automatic Windows update I've experienced heavy audio stuttering when viewing videos and streaming audio. The audio stuttering appears both when streaming videos, like Youtube and Netflix, and when watching DVDs etc. The video stream is mostly unaffected but can sometimes lag if the audio stutter is heavy.

What I've done checked/so far:

- ran a standard Dell PC Checkup - everything was approved

- everything seems fine in the device managaer

- (re)installed latest Realtek HD audio drivers

No luck. Any ideas or suggestions?

The Windows 8.1 update is right around the corner, so I might just wait to see if that "refreshes" the system.

Hi Dominion9000,

You may try a system restore. Refer the following link to do a system restore:

NOTE: With system restore you will not lose any data from the computer, any new programs installed in the computer you would need to reinstall the programs back on the computer.

Let me know how it goes.
