Battery for Dimension 8300
How can I find out which replacement battery to get for my Dimension 8300 and is there anything I should know before I attempt to replace it?

You need a 3-V CR2032 lithium coin cell, this can be purchased from a Radio Shack, WalMart, or most pharmacies.
HOW to replace the coin cell battery on the motherboard.

Thank you for your reply. In preparing for the battery change, the instructions say "Record all the screens in the system setup program." I don't understand what is being asked of me. I went to the System Setup Program manual but the manual shows what I would see on my monitor. Why would I need to record what I will see anyway when I enter the System Setup Program?

Record any changes you have made in the system setup [BIOS], no changes, then don't worry about it.
