When I turn on my only 14 months old XPS 8300 I get 2 beeps repeatedly - the normally white switch on button is amber.
Has anyone experienced this please?

Hi Ludders,
Two beeps is a problem with the RAM. The troubleshooting procedure is to first remove and re-seat all modules. If you are still getting two beeps, try installing one module at a time until you discover the offending module.

Many thanks Osprey4. I will try that. By the way at the same time we have noticed that we are getting a black screen on the monitor - the only way to clear it is to reboot! Probably unrelated but I thought I would mention it.
