Black screen on Dell 3455

Dell Inspiron 24 3455 only has a black screen when I turn it on. No sound, no curser and solid amber light. The graphics test button works.  I have no clue what to do now.

Try this for starters:

  1. Power off and disconnect power cord from rear of PC
  2. Press/hold power button for ~30 sec
  3. Reconnect power cord to rear of PC
  4. See if it boots now

If you are running Windows 10, Black Screens have been happening on quite a few systems.  It sounds like the monitor is not receiving a signal but you might do a search for Win 10 and Black Screens.
