Bluetooth speaker connected as headset only

Hello,

I bought a bluetooth speaker (shoXspin) which works fine with my phone and other devices but NOT with my Dell.

It is recognised as a headset and I can't get it to get recognised as speakers.

I am using a Dell Latitude E6540 and Windows 7.

Please help me getting this issue fixed.

Thanks!

Thank you for your message.

Have you tried using another Bluetooth headset & check if the issue persists?

With the Bluetooth device connected. Open device manager, expand audio & sound right click on the audio driver & click on uninstall (Do not check delete driver)

Restart the computer & check if the issue persists.

Thanks for getting back to me.

Yes, I did connect another bluetooth spekaer and it worked fine.

Yes, I did uninstall the device in the way you suggested and restarted the laptop but the issue is the same.

I tried it on othe laptops and it worked without problems. I also used differnt usb slots on my laptop all with the same result that the speake was recognised only as a head set.

What else could I try?
