Can I install a GeForce GTX 555 into my XPS 8700?
I'm getting the XPS 8700 and was wondering if I can swop out the NVIDIA GeForce GT 720 for a GeForce GTX 555 from my old Aurora R4 computer?
XPS 8700
4th Generation Intel Core i7-4 790 processor (8M Cache, up to 4.0 GHz)
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
Sorry haven't been delivered yet so don't know the power supply.

460w power supply. Yes, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 555 max power usage is 150w so you should be fine. I would first upgrade to the latest Nvidia retail driver, reboot when done, test the system. Then swap out the video cards. Review the Owner's Manual.
