Can a Dell Studio XPS 9100 use ECC RAM?

Can a Dell Studio XPS 9100 use ECC RAM? And can it use memory faster the PC-10600 and can it use more then 24gb of RAM?

Manual says: 1333 MHz DDR3 NON-ECC only, and max is 24 GB.

Crucial.com is offering PC3-12800, DDR3-1600 RAM for this system and that's usually a good indicator of what will work, at least when using RAM purchased from them.

If you install more than 24 GB it might not boot or it might only recognize up to 24 GB. The limit is set by the chipset on the motherboard and by BIOS.

Same might happen if you install an 8 GB module.

Also, the manual says I can "1 GB, 2 GB, and 4 GB" memory sticks. What would happen if I used a 8gb memory stick?
