Core 2 Quad chip in XPS 600 possible?

is it possible to use a Core 2 Quad chip in my XPS 600 motherboard...

The XPS 600 does not support any Core 2 Duo, or Core 2 Quad processors, only P4 and Pentium D processors.

I agree that only Pentium D are suported but if you wish to upgrade Intel has re-released the pentium D as the E6300 which is based on the older Pentium D model but now has greater cache and 1066 FSB. Probably still not worth the effort as the board will not work above the 800 FSB speed anyway.
