DELL INSPIRON 535 BOOT FAILURE

Error message after repeated BOOT failure. Says tnat failed at checkpoint 50.

What is checkpoint 50? How do I fix?

Checkpoint failures like the one you are experiencing here can be caused by various problems that have prevented the system from booting correctly. Have you been able to troubleshoot the system at all already / could you elaborate on what has been tried?

For troubleshooting I would recommend going through our No POST guide below. If available swapping known good components specifically the systems memory and CMOS would be great for troubleshooting. If known good are not available to swap, stripping he system of all peripherals and reseating component connections would help rule out a possible connectivity issue. Please find he system service manual below to assist if needed.

Thank's Everyone.. Success--Tried all the reboot options offered but could not reach any functioning F keys.. In end removed all attachments --shut down-- held power button in for about 60 second -- opened case-- grounded whole system ---Removed batterry and replaced after about a minute---Closed case -- reset up up mouse, key bpard monitor etc -- Then turned on power--- reboot a . Sucess ....

Had to reset dates and reload some programs but do seem to have a functioning syatem... Thanks again!!
