DELL XPS 7100 PSU and GPU Upgrade
Hi, I have a Dell XPS 7100 that is about a year and a half old. It came equipped with a AMD 1090T 6-core processor clocked at 3.2ghz with 16GB 1333mhz ram. I upgraded the GPU from 5670 to Visiontek 5870 1GB GDDR5. I understand the case comes with a 460W PSU. I wanted to upgrade the PSU to get either a really high GPU such as a GTX 780 or 770. Can someone provide a couple of options that will meet the size of 5.9" length ATX power supply and a good GPU that will fit this case.
Thanks in advance!!

Hi eragon360,
You can check in this website for a suitable PSU that supports your system.

With respect to your GPU using a GTX 780 or 770 should be fine since its PSU requirement is 600w.

The XPS 7100 case has limited cooling that is likely inadequate for a high-end GPU. It is possible to move the motherboard into a third-party case with better cooling, and you might consider that option.
