DIMENSION 8100, WHICH RDRAM MEMORY?
Hola, My Dimension 8100, 1.4 GHZ came with 4 x 128Mb 184-pin non-ecc memory. I'm looking at replacing the memory but I'm condfused becauseI find there's 3 types of this memory in the market....and don't know what the differences are (ECC, non-ECC, MHz, -40). I'm only a designer! Please could you tell me if any of memory types below will fit my computer and if so, which is the best one?
1. 512MB PC800 800MHz ECC 184pin RDRAM
2. 512MB PC800-40 800MHz ECC 184pin RDRAM
3. 512MB PC800 800MHz 184pin RDRAM
Many thanks,

Go to either HERE, or HERE to find RDRAM that is compatible with the Dimension 8100.
Note: RDRAM memory must be installed in matching pairs

You do not specify if it's supposed to be ECC or non-ECC you need. The above answer doesn't provide a definitive answer either. Which does the 8100 use??

The RDRAM for the dimension 8100 system is PC800, it must 45ns non-ECC memory.
Note: You can mix ECC and non-ECC, but the ECC will be turned off.
The FSB for the Dimension 8100 is 400MHz.
