Dell Diagnostics Problem (XPS 8500 Win 8.1)
Dell XPS 8500 running Win 8.1
When I try to run the Diagnostics, it gets to the part "Obtaining selected diagnostics" and then the message "A problem has been detected, please try again" and does not complete the run. It does not state what the problem is. This happens every time. Any input with settling this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Is this the Dell F12 preboot diagnostics:

Or is the Dell Online PC Checkup?

Hi,
In this case I would suggest you to try these steps to resolve the issue.
1)Reset the system BIOS by pressing the F2 key .
2)Then try to initiate the 32 bit diagnostics by restarting the system and then pressing the Fn key .
If the issue still persist and you are unable to initiate diagnostics successfully then do reply to this post with the service tag of the system via private message so that I can look into the specifications of the system and assist you better .

Before I try any of the suggestions, I should clarify that this is the Dell Diagnostics from the website (see link below):
