The Dimension 3000 is a PPGA Socket 478 board.  Core2 duo is LGA 775 so no its not working ever.

Max upgrade is 2.8GHZ Northwood Pentium 4  SL7EY

Its DDR 400 and 32 bit 33mhz PCI so its not a gaming system and never will be.

The 3000 chassis will take just about any mATX board. If you want a Core 2 Duo, swap in a Socket 775 motherboard.

Well.... once I get my hands on a Dell Dimension 3000 I plan to remodel it, but my main concern is the front power button that turns the pc on, I don't think any newer motherboards have that spot for that one connector for the power button what should I do? (I think this is current with all old Dell Dimensions regard-less of make and model)

One, the 3000's power button is compatible with modern motherboards, and two, you can buy snap-in replacements from eBay sellers and other sources. I know, because I did it: My 3000 sports an ASRock motherboard and AMD quad-core CPU, and is fully functional, including the front audio connector (which is attached to the motherboard's F-AUDIO header).

You may find it useful to replace the ten-pin from panel socket with one-, two- and three-pin connectors you can get from Front-X for a couple of dollars. Also, the front audio connector needs to be rewired to fit a modern motherboard. (I did that, using pins from Front-X and a pair of special crimping pliers.)

Ok Cool I was maybe planning on Removing the Pent.4 and swapping it out for a Core 2 Quad Q6600- That is if I find a motherboard that can fit.... then again I can grab parts from a Dell Inspiron 530, that could work, but still I would need that one snap on adapter thingy

why should i waste any parts, or buy a whole brand new whatever- just reuse, reuse, recycle (that's how i see things)

The Pentium D945 is the maximum processor that can be used in these models, providing you have a 0HJ054 motherboard.

Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad processors are not supported.

HJ054 is not a PPGA478  Dimension 3000.   Why are you posting nonsense? Front panel and motherboard and power supply are not interchangeable with Dimension 3000.

Dell Dimension 5150 / 5100 / E510 use LGA775 which the dimension 3000 does not have.

Dimension 3000 HAS 20 PIN atx power supply.

E510 uses 24 pin EPS12V.

No.  The 3000 is a socket 478 board.  The Pentium D is a socket 775 CPU - completely incompatible.
