Dell Inspirion 660- flash card slot for picture upload

I am trying to upload pictures from a camera flash card that I have inserted into the card slot on front of the tower.  Nothing happens and I can't find out how to get the pictures uploaded.  I've searched everywhere for information on how to do this and no luck.  If anyone has done this before and can help me I would appreciate it. Thanks.
