Dell Precision T7500 fans do not shut down
I have a Dell Precision T7500 workstation that was recently formatted to Windows XP (I use software that only runs on XP) due to virus-related problems. I previously also had an installation of windows XP on that workstation.
After succesful installation every time I start up the workstation the fans keep working at 100%, they make a terrible terrible loud noise. So loud, it is impossible to work with it. It didn't make that kind of noise before the format. The workstation is definitely not too hot. It is located in a cool room. I even left it turned on during the night, but in the morning the fans are still blowing like a vacuum cleaner...
How can I resolve this issue?
Best regards,
Laurens

Hi LaurensM
Welcome to the Community.
Update the system BIOS to the latest version from the Dell Support site.
BIOS link:

If possible open up the system tower and make sure the fan cables are properly secured. Try to clean the air vents with a compressed air can
System Manual for Dell Precision T7500 workstation:
Glad to help.

my precision workstation t7500 fan is kicking on for no apparent reason.
on rebooting I get the "Alert! Unable to initialize fan controller"
I blew off the dust and checked cables... is there a known issue?
