Dell Settlement with 44 states
I could not find a good place to post this:
Dell and DFS has issued a settlelent with 44 states regarding DFS' practices and the rebate issues going back as far as 2005. Has anyone else heard about this or does anyone know where I can see what Dell is doing? I need some information to see if I qualify. Here is the article I read regarding this:

Here's Dell's blog about it:

Bit more reading on the web tells me that your state *** General's office is the one to contact on how to file a claim.
EDIT: Hmm, the synonym for lawyer got asterisked out. Anyway, you get the idea.

Why am I not surprised at this. LOL :emotion-21:
But, it's still a cheap settlement at less than $100M per state. :emotion-40:

let see - 46 states, divided by 3.3 million dollars.... yep, that's a lot less than $100 million per state.

If my math serves me , the figure would be closer to $717 thousand than $100 million per state.
But I never was very good at math.

Hey bweed6, That's great news.
I could use my $10.00 to help offset the expenses I have incurred tryng to get Dell to repair this defective system.
Thanks for the update.

actually it's more like $71,000 per state (average). i'm guessing the average claimant (after the attorneys get paid of course) will net about $10 apiece.

I found this article by searching the St of Ct Atty Gen website. There's also a form and instructions to get in on the settlement.
I suggest that people look in their own state atty general websites for information. You can't find anything on it in the Dell
website, you have to go to your own state website.
