Dell UltraSharp U2415 and XPS8700
I've just taken delivery of the XPS8700 and the Dell UltraSharp U2415 and per the suggestion on the Dell website, also purchased a Griffin HDMI Male to VGA female adaptor.
I need help connecting the screen, I'm tearing my hair out - I keep getting the message 'No DP Cable - The display will go into Power Save Mode in 5 minutes'.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here's the setup guide for that monitor.
Don't know why you'd need that adapter.
What video output ports do you have on the XPS 8700? Do you have an add-in video card (NVidia or AMD)?
If you have an add-in video card, you have to connect the monitor to the add-in card, not to the on-board video ports which are disabled when a video card is installed.
Ports for the video card will be ~3/4ths of the way down from the top of the PC on the back, not in the middle where the on-board ports ae located.
