Dell Vostro270MT RAM module question

Hi

I was thinking about purchasing the Dell Vostro 270mt desktop that comes with 4gb RAM.  Does anyone know if this is one 4gb ram stick in one slot or 2x2gb sticks in both slots? thus leaving the other slot free for a future 4gb module upgrade or if i have to discard a 2gb stick to make room. The max it can support is 8gb.

(assuming there are only 2 RAM slots on the MOBO...if im wrong about this please correct me)

Thanks

Hi johnritter,

The Dell Vostro 270 system supports up to 8 GB of memory with 2 DIMM slots available. The memory speed supported is 1333MHz and 1600 MHz DDR3 non ECC SDRAM, and 2 DIMM sizes available which are 2GB & 4GB. DDR3 SDRAM.

Please send me a private message with the computer's service tag so that I can check system configuration and let you know the options. To send a private message, click on my name and Send private message.

Hi johnritter,

Dell Vostro 270 is configured with 2x2GB RAM and 1x4GB RAM also. The system is configured either of the options based on the availability of the memory modules.
