Dell XPS 8300 Video Card Update Issues
I have a Dell XPS 8300 i7-2600 with the OY2MRG Motherboard and 8gb RAM. I have just installed an XFX PRO550W PSU to handle the MSI Radeon R9 270 video card that I purchased online. Unfortunately, the computer isn't working with the new video card installed. The new PSU works with the stock Radeon 6770, so I know the PSU isn't the issue. And I checked the R9 270 on a friend's rig, and it works just fine.
So I believe the issue is the OY2MRG Dell motherboard. Does anyone have any insight in what I can do? The bios is A06, which is the most recent version. Thanks

The R9 270 or 270x will not work with the OY2MRG. The motherboard bios or graphics card bios needs to be updated to specially work with these cards. Dell no longer supports this computer and motherboard. I know because I spent 20 hours trying to get mine to work, and It just won't.
