Dimension 3000 PSU

Hi all,

Thought I would ask here about a Dell Computer which is a Dimension 3000. Just a couple of things... can the PSU be replaced with a generic PSU? was thinking of something a bit quieter than the current unit. Have been working with PC's for many years but didn't want to put in generic due to the fact that the Dimension may have a special PSU installed.

And the other thing that is contributing to the noise of the PC is the CPU/Case fan. Replacements unit can be sourced from where please in Australia. I can purchase an aftermarket unit as well and add an adaptor cable if needed.

Thanks

Thanks for that ROHE, just thought I would ask before buying and installing one as I didn't want the think to go "poof" and then have to explain to the owner.

Will have a search i the future ...... thanks
