Dimension 8400 and Radeon 9600 XT 128MB Card Compatible?

Hi.  I just ordered a new Dimenson 8400 with 128MB PCI Express™ x16 (DVI/VGA/TV-out) ATI Radeon™ X300 SE video card.  However, on my old computer, I have installed a Radeon 9600 XT 128 MB Video card.  Can I transfer my Radeon 9600 XT to the Dimension 8400 or will that cause problems?  The Radeon 9600 is an AGP card.  Is it worth it to do this, if I can?  Or are they basically both just as fast?  I don't know much about these things so if you could help me I'd very much appreciate it.  Thanks.

The 9600 will not work in the 8400.  The 8400 doesn't have an AGP slot.  The 9600 is a better card than the 300.  The X300 falls somewhere in between the 9200-9500 series ATI cards.  Don't expect to play the newest games at full settings with it.

You can't physically fit an AGP card in a PCI-Express slot, so you can't do it.  The PCI-Express equivalent of the 9600 XT is the x600 XT.  A x300 SE is inferior to the 9600 XT, by a pretty huge margin of crappiness too.
