Dimension 9200 (xps410) and vista 64

Hi,

I installed Dell vista 64 disk in my pc a week ago and all went fine, all drivers installed fine.

Yesterday i noticed that both my dvd drives whre off line, i tried re-installing Dell 64 drivers with no luck, I also removed the drivers an re-started whith no luck.

So finaly I called Dell tech, she said that it was not hardware and could not help me but could transfer me to software but i might have toi pay for the help.

Very fast a fellow answered and right away new the problem and said that there was no charge, I had to go in regedit and remove some filters, aparentley windows will install them and when removed they will not come back, now both ny drives are working fine.

I mentionned this because it is rare that we get this good service from Dell.
