Dimension XPS670

Always, regardless of my doing anything, or only just sitting on, it shuts off after about 15 minutes.

I suspect fans or cooling, but have no idea how to pin point or resolve this. Is there a utility i can run to sense fan speed and temp for example?

any thoughts?
