Downloading From Internet

I recently installed Realplayer on my backup computer. When I go to download videos from YouTube and other sites the little popup that says "Download This Video" doesn't come up. I had this problem a few years ago, but I can't remember what the fix was.

On a related issue, my Realplayer Downloads Folder won't even open up, says it's "Not Responding". I've got lots of good music and video in there that is not assessible now. Thankfully I have everything on an external hard drive. This computer is an XPS-420 running Vista and IE9....and getting a bit long in the tooth. Perhaps it is finally time to make it my backup and get something newer.

Thanks for any ideas. Hope I put this in the proper forum

Real Player and Real Player Downloader are not Dell Hardware and Not supported here.  IE9 is also depricated and no longer supported.

Microsoft is planning to force Windows users onto the latest supported versions of Internet Explorer. Windows 7 and Windows 8 users will need to be running Internet Explorer 11 to continue receiving updates. If Internet Explorer 12 or even version 13 debuts before January 12th, 2016 and it supports Windows 7 and Windows 8, then those users will need to upgrade to the very latest. Microsoft’s change means Internet Explorer 8, 9, 10, and 11 will no longer be supported on consumer versions of Windows after January 12th, 2016.

Real Player 16 is also no longer supported as it is Real Player Cloud now. http://www.real.com

I would highly suggest you to try another downloader so that you won't mess out with your Realplayer Downlod folder. I, myself have witnessed how great Video Converter Beta is. Yeah, its a converter but it has a download function which can help you download any video you want from YouTube.
