Driver Help Optiplex GX260

Hi....New to the forum here, thanks!  I recently received a Dell Optiplex GX260 from my boss for my son, it was working fine but the HD just crashed.  We purchased a 160 GB HD and installed it last night......Also used a Dell OS disc from my laptop along with our XP upgrade disc.

I have no drivers installed now, but the CDROM, HD, etc. are being recognized.  My boss said we need a clean Windows XP disk that would have the Dell drivers embedded into it....We have 2 Dell's but have always received them with the OS installed.

I have been looking at the Dell driver downloads, and have the list of the order in which they should be installed.  I put the service tag info in and found the system info, but it's not specific enough to tell me exactly which drivers I need.

I have no internet connection due to the driver issue so I can't scan that computer.....I'm on here with my Inspiron 5150 looking for help.

Can I at least get the driver for network access?.....Or does anyone have a solution for me?  I'm not too bad with computers, but we have never installed a new HD in this manner.  The old HD went very fast (and I was out of town), so we couldn't do a backup (I still have the HD though).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Wes

Did you try to put in the service tag and look at the original configuration? That will tell you what graphics and sound and NIC you have. There was only one recommended network driver and that was the Intel Gigabit LOM.

I did but it gave me information I couldn't decipher.....Does the recommended dowload mean it's the one for my computer?

I installed a clean and full XP Professional version just now, and it's still the same.  I'm not as computer savvy as I would like to be.....usually these problems are simple, but they can take me days to figure out.

Thanks,

Here's what the service tag listed:
