ps, I'm drooling over a new quad core but really can't justify it right now, I mean the dog would probably be cut down from three to two meals a day for me to afford the upgrade!

Right now the Dual core seems to do better with the gaming but that is prob because nobody is writing to take advantage of the quad. I am sure that will all change with the next generation of games to come out.
I got the Dual with the thought that I could upgrade down the road as the prices all seem to be down on the quads.
I just built a new home built PC and went with the Q6600. Runs great and the few games I play run a lot smoother than they did on my old Dimension E510 that has a D925 CPU in it.
