Faulty Mouse

I purchased the Dell J660D mouse as part of my current system about 2 years ago.  Within the last year, it began to randomly turn off and on during use for no apparent reason.  I tried plugging it into various USB ports and different machines, and even reinstalling the drivers with the same results.  Finally, today it died.  I was wondering if the mouse was covered under my warranty (5 year) and could be replaced at no charge to me, or whether I would need to purchase a new one on my own.  Also, if Dell will replace the mouse for me, is it still possible to get one the same or very similar?  Thanks.

Mice are cheap $12.95-and easy to replace. I would just buy a new one. I doubt the mouse is covered under the warranty after 2 years. www.amazon.com/.../B0035N256Q  OR buy a newer, better model.
